Hello Friends, lovers of Africa and the Kente cloth tradition – we are having our next workshop in two weeks in Rahway, New Jersey on Sunday, May 5, 2019. The workshop will be held at the Cultured Expressions Sewing and Quilting Studio at 1417 Main Street, NJ, 07065, from 2 pm to 6 pm. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to experience creating and weaving your own Kente cloth on a small loom. Kwasi will also have a wide variety of Kente items for purchase. The cost for this one-of-a-kind workshop is $65, which includes supplies, personal instruction from Kwasi and a light buffet of Afro-Caribbean cuisine. It promises to be a wonderful day of creativity, joy and the spirit of African culture.
