The beautiful energy of spring is right around the corner and we would like to organize more Kente cloth workshops to introduce this time-honored African tradition to as many people as possible! We’ve finalized the details and scheduled an workshop for May 5, 2019, in Rahway, New Jersey and we would like to create similar events in other towns and cities, especially in the Washington D.C. and New York-New Jersey area. Let us share creativity, knowledge, wisdom and understanding… In each of our workshops Kwasi makes a presentation on the history and cultural background of Kente cloth, and then each participant is given a chance to work on a loom and create their own unique small piece of Kente cloth magic! It’s truly a wonderful experience. In addition to giving people a hands-on experience with Kente cloth, Kwasi will also have a large variety of Kente fabrics and products for sale.
