Kwasi Asare: Master Kente Weaver, Mathematician and Teacher

This is a wonderful interview Kwasi Asare had with the Handweavers Guild of America for their Textiles and Tea podcast in February 2026. Kwasi had a great conversation – they asked excellent questions, covering many interesting aspects of Kwasi’s life as master Kente weaver in the Ashanti tradition, he and his father’s involvement with the United Nations and the relationship between Kente weaving and mathematics.
